Stoke-on-Trent’s largest museum uses exciting and varied displays to tell the story of The Potteries and includes the world’s finest collection of Staffordshire pottery, items from The Staffordshire Hoard and a Spitfire as just some of the highlights of the collection. The Spitfire is currently being restored to its former glory and will return in 2021 in a breathtaking new display, sure to wow!
Potteries Museum & Art Gallery is not just a musuem; there's also frequent talks from historians and experts on a variety of topics which are always engaging and insightful. Plus, on occasion, music performances from local bands take place here, as well as screenings of cinema greats such as Die Hard and Alien in the museum's secret cinema.
Cineworld boasts nine screens showing the latest international blockbusters in 2D and 3D, but for a bit of a different viewing experience, head to Mitchell Arts Centre for their matinee screenings. You can catch LIVE screenings of West-End shows as well as cinematic masterpieces from the last few decades. There's also Potteries Museum & Art Gallery's cinema to check out too, mentioned above.

City Central Library offers a huge collection of books spanning dozens of genres, CDs and DVDs to loan. There’s also an archive service including newspapers, maps and family history, plus frequent events for children including weekly story-times for under 5's.
The Potteries Centre is the city’s ultimate shopping destination boasting 96 stores, including big names such as Pandora, Debenhams, Next and Primark. Whether you’ve got the dosh or not, window shopping is the perfect rainy day activity. End the day with a bite to eat at one of six restaurants at The Hive and a movie at Cineworld.
Let off steam and relieve stress in a different and unique way at RAGE, which brings the fun of the outdoors, indoors.
