Richard Buxton, Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID Manager
Richard Buxton is the Manager for the Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID which means overseeing the budget and its expenditure within the district through events, initiatives and investments and delivering the BID's strategy over the five-year team. Richard’s background includes being the former National Sales Director for Genuine Solutions (Chemicals) Ltd, the owner of The Hippy Hippy Shake Co. Ltd., and the lead organiser for the local Lymelight Music Festival. Most significantly, Richard comes with plenty of BID experience. He was formally a Director of Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and a member of the original Steering Group, but most recently he has been the BID Manager for Hemel Hempstead.
Street Ambassadors
A team of three Street Ambassadors, recruited to give local businesses a voice and make sure visitors to the city have the best possible experience during their stay, take to the streets six days a week as the BID’s eyes and ears. The Ambassadors record issues affecting organisations within the BID area ensuring that the city operates effectively for both businesses and their customers. The uniformed team are also be on hand to provide a warm welcome and helpful information for people visiting the City Centre. Each Ambassador possesses a wealth of knowledge about the City Centre, and has extensive customer-facing experience. Pictured left to right is April Jackson, Qamar Sohail and Richard Wood.
