Exciting news for the city… BBC are in the middle of running their week-long project which, through a variety of media including videos, photo galleries and interviews on TV, radio, and digital platforms, tells the story of people, business and life in Stoke-on-Trent with the aim of reaching a wider audience with news about the city.
 
They’re based in intu Potteries this week, capturing stories from the city, including interviews with various businesses including Ruff n Ruby, The Slamwich Club and The Corner. As part of #BBCWeAreStokeonTrent, BID Chairman Jonathan Bellamy was asked to speak on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Wake Up to Money programme about the regeneration of the high street, the unfortunately collapse of Thomas Cook but how the city centre's independent travel agent companies continue to thrive. Jon was again interviewed on BBC News Live in the afternoon where he spoke of the benefits that BIDs bring to city centres and the positive changes they deliver on a national basis.
