intu Potteries’ retailer awards took place at the weekend at Best Western Plus Stoke-on-Trent Moat House. For the fourth year running, it was a great evening to recognise and celebrate the very best stores and restaurants of intu Potteries and was attended by over 220 guests. The night, which was under the theme of ‘Carnival’ included the coveted awards ceremony, Brazilian carnival dancers and live music.

Centre visitors were invited to vote for their favourite retailers across 12 categories. Over 1,100 votes were received, with several of the categories closely contested.

• Women fashion retailer of the year: New Look

• Children fashion retailer of the year: Next

• Jewellery and accessories retailer of the year: Pandora

• Health & beauty retailer of the year: Superdrug

• Footwear retailer of the year: schuh

• Homeware retailer of the year: Primark

• Digital lifestyle retailer of the year: HMV

• Specialist retailer of the year: Cineworld

• Food & drink retailer of the year: Bon Pan Asian

• World class customer service retailer of the year: Lush

• Retailer of the year: Primark

Rachael Jackson, intu Potteries general manager commented: “the night was a great success with a brilliant atmosphere. We were very pleased with the number of retailers who attended the event. this year was our most attended yet! We offer huge congratulations to all our amazing winners”.

Several businesses sponsored the event including: 24-7, Apex, Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID, Makers, Thermotech Solutions and Trinity.

The retailer awards take place yearly across several intu centres. It is an opportunity to reward our retailers’ hard work throughout the year as recognised by our visitors.
