intu Potteries is calling for local creatives to submit the best images that they captured, or artwork and poetry that was created during lockdown to form part of a new Lockdown Gallery that will be installed in the centre, in a bid to spread positivity and capture the lives of the local community over the last few challenging months.

This is open to individuals of all ages, and submissions can include:

  • lockdown-themed photographs that fit within three themes; socially distanced reunions, local heroes and Stoke-on-Trent under Lockdown
  • art creations like colourful rainbows
  • and words such as pandemic-inspired poetry

These will be displayed throughout the summer.

Amy Dibble, marketing manager at intu Potteries, said: “We hope that our Lockdown Gallery will showcase some of the incredible experiences that the local community has gone through over the last few months.

“The selected photographs, artwork and poems will be printed and displayed in a dedicated gallery space that will hopefully put a smile on the faces of our visitors, local residents and the wider community.

"So, if you’ve taken a picture during lockdown that fits within one of our three themes, produced a piece of inspiring art, or even written a piece of powerful poetry over the last few months, we’d love for you to get in touch!”
