Stoke-on-Trent’s popular shopping destination, The Potteries Centre, has unveiled a colourful rebrand following the recent transition of management from intu to property management company, MAPP.

Retaining the historic Potteries name, the newly rebranded Potteries Centre celebrates the city’s 300-year creative and industrial heritage with a new bottle kiln logo and new signage at the centre’s main entrance.

Drawing inspiration from recognisable features in North Staffordshire such as Hanley’s iconic blue clock; the Trent & Mersey Canal; Harecastle Tunnel and North Staffordshire delicacy, the oatcake, the new branding features a selection of expressive shapes to represent Stoke-on-Trent’s past and present.

Customers will see further changes come in the form of new uniforms for centre teams, a new look website and refreshed social media channels, as well as updated messaging being introduced through the centre, using the new logo, colours and shapes.

Explaining more about the vibrant new branding, and what customers can expect when they visit, Amy Whittaker, General Manager for The Potteries Centre, said:

“Stoke-on-Trent is a fantastic city with a rich and creative heritage that we’re really proud of and it was important to honour that in our branding. The Potteries Centre has been at the heart of our much-loved city since 1988 and this rebrand marks the start of an exciting new journey for the centre and the city.

“For us it is about ensuring The Potteries Centre remains an inspiring and loved destination for our community, as a neighbourhood shopping centre, cultural destination and community hub – a place that makes Stoke proud.”

She added:

“Though our centre is only partially open at present, our teams have been hard at work behind the scenes, and we’re really looking forward to sharing the new look with our visitors. The Potteries Centre has always been a great place for families and friends to socialise, shop, eat and drink and we are committed to making sure that it gets better and better.”
