Unfortunately, Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District have had to make the difficult decision to postpone the planned appearances by the CBeebies characters from Moon and Me and Hey Duggee, which were due to take place on Saturday 12th and Saturday 19th December at The Potteries Centre.

Richard Buxton, Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID Manager, said:

“We had worked hard with our partners to plan a fun and safe event to spread a little festive cheer. However, following advice from the Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s public health division, we have decided to postpone the events until next year.

“We understand that many families will be disappointed, and this decision has not been taken lightly, however the safety of shoppers and staff continue to be our ultimate priority and we want to guarantee that we are doing everything we can to maintain this. Everyone who had tickets will be able to use them when the events are rescheduled next year.

“We have been in touch with everyone who has booked a free ticket for the events and invite those with tickets and the characters back for an event next year.

“We continue to maintain safety measures throughout the city centre, including asking shoppers to wear face coverings and installing dedicated queuing areas for stores.”
