An upmarket bistro and bar is opens in Hanley for the first time this week.

Restaurant Six - named after Stoke-on-Trent's six towns - will launch inside Hilton Garden Inn Hotel in line with Government guidance on May 17.

It will serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner in a contemporary designed to feel cosy and welcoming.

There will be both outside seating and inside dining for tables of six serving guests of the hotel as well as external customers.

Ben Carey, general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn, said: “Restaurant Six opening up post-lockdown signals an exciting time for the hotel as we welcome the return of visitors and prepare for a period of greater success.

"It’s wonderful to see all the work we have done as a partnership with the wider Smithfield scheme team come to fruition.

"We wanted to take the time to consider the restaurant brand within the hotel to ensure it had meaning and purpose.

"The realisation of a restaurant with a distinct identity that will appeal to a wide-ranging audience is an exciting prospect for the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel.

"The restaurant will add to the buzzing atmosphere of Smithfield and we are greatly looking forward to its emergence as a dynamic addition to Smithfield’s lifestyle offerings.”

Work is ongoing on the next phases of development at Smithfield which will include a new multi-storey car park and more offices.
