Shining a spotlight on the people that make Better World Festival

Deborah Nicklin works at The Dudson Centre on Hope Street for a charity called VAST and is a project officer of the Totally Stoked project which is all about making connections for people, charities and communities across the city and believes that ‘everyone has something to give’ whether that’s sharing our time and skills, donating items that charities would find invaluable.

Deborah has been supporting Better World Festival by liaising with charities across the city, encouraging them to have a stall at the event to help raise awareness of their work, whilst other members of her team have been promoting the volunteering opportunities to people who would like to take part and give a helping hand over the weekend of the festival.

So, what is Deborah most looking forwards to about Better World Festival? "Seeing happy people in the town, discovering great projects to be proud of in our city , backed up by a great vibe of music, food and hopefully some sunshine!"
