Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID has today announced the launch of the 'Piccadilly Tree Trail,' set to invite visitors to explore the heart of the city centre during the festive season. Along with lighting up the streets surrounding Hanley's prolific Cultural Quarter, participants of the trail will have the chance to win a Christmas hamper filled with gifts from local businesses, worth a whopping £200.

The 'Piccadilly Tree Trail' kicks off on Monday 4th December and runs through the holiday season, culminating on Monday 18th December. Over 30 businesses are set to take part in the trail and are set to decorate their tree to their liking, creating delightful photo opportunities and festive atmosphere for the key shopping, dining and entertainment quarter. Once the competition is over, the trees will still be on display for visitors throughout the Christmas period.

To participate in the trail, visitors are invited to:
1. Pick up a 'Piccadilly Tree Trail Map' from participating business locations or download it online at stokeontrentcitycentre.co.uk
2. Snap a photo of their favourite trees, and share on social media using #PiccadillyTreeTrail via Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

Engaging local businesses throughout the festive season is important to Stoke-on-Trent Business Improvement District CEO, Richard Buxton:
"This festive season, we're really excited to be introducing this new tree trail to Piccadilly and the surrounding Cultural Quarter. Not only will this trail add some additional decoration and light to these areas, but it's also a fantastic opportunity for businesses to engage with their customers during this key time of year for sales and footfall. We hope that city centre visitors enjoy this fun and free activity."

Every participant who shares their photo will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win the incredible Christmas hamper filled with £200 worth of festive goodies including a family ticket to see Jack & The Beanstalk at Regent Theatre, a £50 gift voucher for The Slamwich Club and craft ale from Bottlecraft. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 19th December.
