Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District is thrilled to unveil a packed programme of autumn and winter events set to light up the city and bring the community together. From spooky thrills to festive cheer, the city centre will be the heart of seasonal celebrations that cater to all ages and interests.


BIG Halloween Street Party - Saturday 26th October - 10am to 4pm 
Get ready for a frightfully fun time at the BIG Halloween Street Party on Saturday, 26th October 2024. Hanley will be transformed into a haunted haven with eerie decorations, ghostly performers, and interactive experiences for all ages. The event will feature music, street entertainers, a costume contest and trick-or-treating. Families can also enjoy an autumnal appearance from Potteries Artisan Market and creepy crafting in the Keep It Local Creative Department store located in The Potteries Centre. This free event promises a day of spooktacular family fun after its success in 2023.
 

Remembrance Sunday Procession - Sunday 10th November 
On Sunday, 10th November 2024, the city centre will come together to honour our fallen heroes with a Remembrance Sunday Procession. Together with the Tri Services Veteran Support Centre and members of local cadets, veterans and dignitaries will take part in a procession, culminating in a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial on Albion Square, outside the Town Hall. The BID invites members of the community to join in paying their respects and remembering those who have served and sacrificed for our country.
 

Santa’s Arrival Parade & Welcome to Christmas Event - Saturday 23rd November - from 11am
 The festive season kicks off in style with a brand new highly anticipated Christmas Parade and Market on Saturday, 23rd November 2024 in partnership with The Potteries Centre and Interactive Grottos Limited. The day will start with the grand Christmas Parade throughout the town, featuring dazzling floats, festive characters and special guest appearances from local organisations. Following this, families can enjoy their day with a spot of Christmas shopping at the Potteries Artisan Market and revel in festive entertainment, live music performances and quirky character meet and greets into the early evening. From seasonal brass bands to choirs and much more to be announced, this free to experience event is set to be one of the biggest celebrations of Christmas that the city centre has ever put on. City Centrepreneurs - Saturday 30th November
Hosted alongside Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and Staffordshire University on Saturday 30th November, the City Centrepreneurs start-up showcase is an opportunity to see benefits of growing upcoming business in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre. As a part of the renowned Small Business Saturday campaign, the event highlights are set to include networking opportunities with entrepreneurs and industry experts, along with tours of local premises and event-exclusive deals.

Admission: Free to have a stand (subject to availability) and open to the public
Eligibility: New businesses in their first 3 years of trading
 

Winter Vegan Festival - Saturday 14th December
Supporting Stoke-on-Trent Animal Rights, visitors can enjoy a dazzling range of vegan goods including hot and cold food, sweet things, jewellery, crafts, pottery, cards, candles and clothing. A perfect opportunity to purchase special Christmas gifts and treats.


Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID is proud to support these vibrant events to Hanley, creating opportunities for families, friends, and visitors to come together and celebrate the season. These events are not only a chance to enjoy the festivities but also to support local businesses and showcase the spirit of Stoke-on-Trent.
