Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID and their Business Support Officer, Emily
Whitehead, are celebrating a whole year of city centre collectives by hosting The
Innovation Collective to bring together the successes, pledges and enthusiasm of
the last 5 gatherings. Valued Stoke-on-Trent city centre champions are invited to
join the 6th collective with the simple purpose of unlocking potential in the city.
The Innovation Collective will take place on July the 2nd between 12.30-2.30pm in
collaboration with the ever welcoming Smithfield Works. City centre champions
from all sectors are invited to join the informal gathering at Smithfield Two alongside
the Library.
The Innovation Collective will be an opportunity to bring together some of the
outcomes and collaborations of previous events to ensure that action and progress
is made & is an ideal opportunity to start to build on a legacy for the city centre in
ways of working, networking & innovating.

The event will include hearing from those already using innovation as a driver for
growth and positive narrative building as they share good practice and ideas. There
will also be a chance to understand what key opportunities there are in the city
centre to nurture and support innovation alongside discussion about ways forward
to ensure that there is continued momentum during and beyond the Centenary year.
Emily Whitehead, who is working on this project with BID, said, “As always, this is
an informal gathering but one that can create powerful connections and
transformative conversations about innovative opportunities now and for the future”.
Emily also said, “The collectives have been a significant catalyst for people who
don’t always have space or time to meet, to be in the same room to unlock potential
and start new collaborations”.
